Senior UX UI Designer / Creative Director
A calculated risk taker at heart, her keen and curious nature never fails to push Jacalin out of her comfort zone, working with start-ups, enterprises, media and digital product agencies in New York, Vancouver, Tokyo and most recently Sydney, Australia.
In the first 10 years of Jacalin’s creative career, she worked with some of the world’s top talent and managed teams of various sizes. This journey allowed her to grow and learn the art of developing positive and productive collaboration between people.
With a combination of strong design thinking skills in campaign, media and digital products from her multi-faceted experience, Jacalin understands how to connect brands with powerful story-telling and efficient user experience design. Recently, her focus has been: consumer experience research, branding and product development for fashion E-commerce, Fintech and Digital Marketplaces. Her work ethic is always positive and supportive, with a can-do attitude.
She works closely with enterprise clients on a contract basis, assisting product development processes from ideation to prototype, brand to product design and marketing strategy. She believes design should be driven by data, and most importantly staying lean and testing often. Jacalin has also worked with many start-up entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life.
Outside of the digital world, her other obsession is sustainable innovation in wearable textiles. Jacalin has founded a fashion startup of her own to create “slow innovative fashion”, using recycled and organic fabrics, such as left over coffee grinds, blended into recycled fishing net fibre and organic hemp to create the best fabric for sportswear. Who knew that was possible?
